Rodeo isn't just a sport; it's where grit meets glory. Over a decade ago, I took my first shoots behind the chutes for my local paper. I have been chasing the dust and drama ever since.  

From bull rides to quiet moments behind the scenes, I shoot it all with a journalistic eye and a heart for all the action it encompasses

Since my first shoot, I have earned recognition throughout Minnesota and beyond, including five first-place awards in the Sports photography category from the Minnesota Newspaper Association. In 2023, I was honored to be named Minnesota Rodeo Association Photographer of the Year. 

My Photography is about more than action-it’s about the story. From the adrenaline of the arena to the quiet, in-between moments that most miss, I strive to capture the grit, heart, and soul of rodeo life.

At D. Sibley Studios, I focus on more than just action. I chase the moments that tell a story—the clenched jaw before a ride, the dust cloud after the dismount, the quiet pride behind the scenes. My images are honest, gritty, and full of heart, just like the sport itself.
